SoftBank Group Corp. priced a ¥1 trillion ($6.3 billion) seven-year bond for Japanese retail investors.
The company set the coupon at 4.75%. This rate more than doubles the 2.3% average for similar yen-denominated retail bonds issued this year.
Rising Japanese government bond yields have increased the appeal of local fixed-income products. SoftBank will use the proceeds to redeem existing domestic bonds and finance strategic artificial intelligence investments.
The offering period runs from September 7 to September 16, 2026.
