CATL resumed operations at its Jianxiawo lithium mine in Jiangxi province on June 29, 2026.
The facility remained closed for nearly a year following government efforts to stabilize the overheated lithium market.
The site serves as one of the world's largest sources of lepidolite, a primary raw material for battery-grade lithium carbonate.
The mine and its on-site refinery maintain an annual production capacity of approximately 100,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate.
The restart indicates that the Chinese government is now satisfied with the stabilized lithium price environment.
