Ten Chinese vehicle owners filed a collective lawsuit against Tesla in a Beijing court. The legal action commenced on May 30, 2026.

The plaintiffs accuse the company of consumer fraud and false advertising regarding its Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature. The group seeks more than 3.95 million yuan in damages.

The lawsuit alleges that Tesla misrepresented FSD capabilities while the system lacked full regulatory approval in China. Plaintiffs contend that misleading promotions led them to purchase the product under false pretenses.

This challenge highlights increasing regulatory scrutiny of autonomous driving technologies in the Chinese electric vehicle market.
