Manulife Financial Corporation reported record core earnings of $2.1 billion in the third quarter of 2026. Earnings rose 4% from the year-earlier quarter on a constant-currency basis. Double-digit growth in Asia and solid contributions from North American insurance operations drove the results. Core earnings per share increased 6% to $1.24, surpassing analyst expectations.

Net income attributed to shareholders fell to $1.4 billion from $1.8 billion in the prior-year quarter. Manulife attributed the decline to market-related experience and a net charge connected to its Vietnam operations.

Global Wealth and Asset Management recorded net outflows of $3.6 billion, compared with $6.2 billion in the same quarter last year. Manulife returned $1.3 billion to shareholders during the quarter.
