OpenAI will supply Samsung Electronics with ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex in one of its largest enterprise deployments to date. The agreement provides AI services to all Samsung employees in South Korea and all global staff within the Device eXperience (DX) division.
Samsung will deploy the AI platforms across research, development, manufacturing, and marketing. The move aims to enhance productivity and accelerate a company-wide AI transformation.
This partnership marks a significant shift from 2023, when Samsung banned generative AI following internal data leaks. ChatGPT Enterprise includes the enhanced data protection and security controls necessary to resolve those previous concerns.
