Samsung Electronics co-CEO and chip division head Jun Young-hyun met Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang in Seoul. The meeting focused on expanding their partnership in advanced foundry processes and high-bandwidth memory (HBM).

Executives discussed development plans for future HBM4E and HBM5 technologies essential for AI accelerators. The collaboration builds on existing projects involving autonomous driving and AI accelerator chips.

Samsung aims to strengthen its position in the AI chip market and foundry sector against global competitors. The talks also addressed the stable supply of HBM4 for Nvidia’s upcoming AI platforms.
