A South Korean court on Tuesday dismissed an injunction seeking to block a new wage agreement at Samsung Electronics.

Employees from the consumer electronics (Device eXperience) division filed the challenge. They argued that Samsung's largest union sidelined them during negotiations.

The ruling clears a legal hurdle for a tentative deal reached on May 20. This agreement narrowly averted a major strike.

Union members are currently voting on the deal. The agreement has caused internal friction.

The contract introduces a lucrative bonus structure tied to the profitability of the booming semiconductor division. Employees in other units will receive significantly smaller payouts.
